Ah yes, once again. This was possibly my third or fourth time through the series, and I enjoyed it just as much. Brown strikes a great balance: blending echoes of history, from Roman empire grandeur to Irish oppression, with the sharp edge of science fiction where swords still have a place in a solar war. Quite enjoyable.

Almost finished the series while on the island of Bonaire.
