While this book started off smoothly, I found myself struggling to fully immerse myself in it due to its complexity. Perhaps my preoccupation with deck building played a role in making it challenging. Although, in hindsight, the task of mindlessly pulling nails shouldn’t have been a significant distraction. Throughout the narrative, there were instances where the author seemed to assume that I would effortlessly connect with characters introduced in various backstories. However, this wasn’t the case for me; often, these connections only became clear much later in the book. As a result, retracing my steps to grasp the context became a tangled endeavor.
