Hi Bob, I didn’t think I’d read you again so soon! So, the string of reading failures ends here. I was hoping to wait a bit longer to dive into this one, but after a rough patch with sci-fi/fantasy, I was in desperate need of some redemption for the genres. And, unsurprisingly, I got it.

Nothing profound or philosophically mesmerizing—just good old von Neumann probes and, wait, the destruction of the galaxy? Gasp! Now I’ve got to wait a year or two for the next installment. Well, I can wait. In the meantime, I’ll probably just go back and relisten to the original trilogy. It’s still a blast.
